POD Redesign Max

Setup · about 5 minutes

Install and set up POD Redesign Max

Five steps from zero to your first design. You need Chrome on a computer, a Google account, and an API key from OpenAI, Google AI or xAI.

  1. 1Step 1 of 5

Add POD Redesign Max to Chrome

Open the Chrome Web Store page and click Add to Chrome. Then click the puzzle icon in Chrome's toolbar and pin POD Redesign Max so it is one click away.

Made for Chrome on a computer (Windows or Mac). It doesn't run on phones.

  2. 2Step 2 of 5

    Sign in with Google

Click the extension icon, open Settings, and in Account click Sign in with Google.

We receive only your email address: it links your license and counts free-trial images. One computer is active per email; signing in somewhere else signs the old one out.

  3. 3Step 3 of 5

Enter your key, or use the free trial

Bought a plan? Paste your activation key (PODR-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX) into Activation key and click Activate. The key is on your checkout page and in the email we sent.

No key yet? Skip this step. You are on the free trial: 5 images every week. See plans.

  4. 4Step 4 of 5

    Add your AI API key

In Settings → API keys, paste a key from OpenAI, Google AI or xAI, click Save, then Test key. "Valid" means you are ready. "Valid, but no credit or quota left" means you need to add billing at the provider first.

Then, under Models, pick the image model, the analysis model, the quality and the size. Don't have a key? Get one in a few minutes.

  5. 5Step 5 of 5

    Crop your first image

Open any web page with an image. Hover the image and click Crop with POD Redesign, or click the extension icon and choose New crop. Frame the artwork, pick a workflow and click Generate.

You can keep browsing while it works. Progress and results are in the side panel (History), saved on your computer.

Good to know

AI providers bill you for each image, including trial images. Set a monthly spending limit in your provider account. Your API keys and images stay on your computer; uninstalling the extension deletes its saved results, so download anything you want to keep first.

If you see a message

"This account was signed in on another device."
Each email has one active computer. Sign in again on this one (that signs the other one out). You can switch up to 5 times a day.
"Too many sign-ins today. Try again after ..."
You switched computers 5 times today. Sign-in on a new computer unlocks again at the time shown.
"OpenAI (or Google AI, xAI) rejected your API key."
The key was mistyped, deleted or revoked. Create a new one at the provider and paste it in Settings → API keys. Guide.
"Valid, but no credit or quota left"
Your provider account has no billing or has used its budget. Add a payment method or credit at the provider, then test again.
"Your free trial images for this week are used up."
Wait for the weekly reset, or buy a key and activate it in Settings.
"Can't open the crop tool on this page."
Chrome blocks extensions on its own pages (settings, the Web Store, new tab). Open a normal website and try again.
